Paige Niemann, known for impersonating Ariana Grande, is receiving backlash again after posting stripped down photos as Ariana on Instagram.

Take another look. That viral TikToker is not Ariana Grande. She’s actually Paige Niemann, a 15-year-old home-schooled Californian who has such an uncanny resemblance to the pop star that the internet is officially “creeped out” — and even Ariana herself has taken notice.

The attention doesn’t faze Paige. She says strangers have been telling her she looks like Ariana for years now. Since she started mimicking the singer’s looks and mannerisms and uploading videos on TikTok, she has gained a million followers. And this week, the real Ariana Grande responded to her work, tweeting about Paige’s recent TikTok video where she mouths dialogue from Nickelodeon’s Victorious while dressed up as a 2019 version of Ariana, high pony and all.

“I was so shocked that she would notice me,” Paige tells Teen Vogue. “I was shaking. I was, like, really happy.” In her tweet, Ariana seemed surprised to hear the crossover between her character Cat and her actual onstage persona. “I don’t know if she thought it was bizarre to see them together,” Paige adds about Ari’s response.

It all started when filmmaker Jordan Firstman appeared to poke fun of those who have been mimicking the singer, by doing his own impression - which caught the attention of Ariana, 26.

"Can this please also double as your impression of the pony tail TikTok girls who think doing the Cat Valentine voice and that wearing winged eyeliner and a sweatshirt is doing a good impersonation of me... cause this really how it feels," she wrote.  Referencing the part of the video where it said "degrading it's entire value" Ariana appeared to endorse the sentiment by adding: "I screamed."

However, Paige Niemann, 14, who has found Internet fame and millions of followers by impersonating Ariana did not seem impressed at the singer's response.

"I'm used to Ariana shading me, so it's whatever," Niemann said during a livestream Thursday according to Buzzfeed. "I'm just here to entertain people. It's not how I am in real life. It's kind of why I'm not a fan of her any more, honestly."
